ISO/IEC 17020 Accredited Inspection Body
Appeals & Complaints
Documented, impartial processes for handling appeals and complaints related to our assessment activities.
DASA Technical Services, LLC (DASATECH) is an ISO/IEC 17020 accredited inspection body. As part of that accreditation, we maintain documented, impartial processes for handling appeals and complaints related to our assessment activities.
Appeals
A client may appeal a DASATECH decision on the conformity of an item we assessed, including findings and authorization recommendations in an issued report. Submit an appeal in writing to info@dasatech.net, identifying the report or certificate concerned and the grounds for the appeal. We acknowledge receipt, gather and verify the information needed to decide the appeal, and keep the appellant informed of progress and the result. The decision is made, or reviewed and approved, by persons not involved in the original assessment decision, and submitting an appeal never results in any discriminatory action against the appellant.
Complaints
Any party may raise a complaint about DASATECH’s inspection activities by writing to info@dasatech.net. On receipt we confirm whether the complaint relates to our inspection activities and, if it does, acknowledge it, investigate, and provide the complainant with progress reports and the outcome. Complaints are tracked and recorded with the actions taken to resolve them; resolution is made, or reviewed and approved, by persons not involved in the subject of the complaint, and raising a complaint never results in any discriminatory action against the complainant.
Confidentiality and escalation
Both processes are handled confidentially under our Quality Management System. If you believe your concern has not been resolved, you may also contact our accreditation body, the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), at a2la.org.
